A Fellow of the Geological Society of America and a two-time Fulbright Research Scholar, she is recognized for her significant contributions to geosciences. Her acclaimed book, "Iceland: Tectonics, Volcanics, and Glacial Features" (Wiley, 2020), explores advanced geological concepts of the island. With over 20 years of research on global water quality, climate change, and volcanism, she founded Adventure Geology Tours to share her passion for geology and travel.
